Refuge, relief, and contrast is what we at Athlete Oasis are all about. The concept of recovery is unique for everyone and we want to help you take maximum advantage of our services.

There are 3 basic pathways that you can take through the facility, or you can work with our recovery team for an advanced recovery approach.

PATH ONE:
METABOLIC HEALTH

Metabolic health is not only about body composition. Improving metabolism is a desired quality at all ages and levels of athleticism. 

Primary Focus (1-3 days/week)

IPC (5 min on/5 off for 2-3 rounds)
Cold Tub Metabolic Protocol* 

Secondary Focus (1-2 days/week)

Normatech Dynamic Air Compression Massage (30-45 min)
Infrared Sauna 

PATH TWO:
RESILIENCY

Mental health is something that is not commonly discussed in athletic circles. Intentionally exposing your body to controlled stress is a great way to condition the mind and body to be more tolerant of stress. At Athlete Oasis we like the term ANTIFRAGILE.

PATH THREE:
ATHLETIC RECOVERY

Recovering from training sessions is a crucial component of high performance as well as injury prevention. It is important to match your performance goals to your recovery program. Make sure you connect with one of your recovery specialists to help guide your decision making. 

Primary Focus (3-5 days/week)

Normatech Dynamic Air Compression Massage (30-45 min)
Joint mobility 
Cold Tub Performance Protocol*

Secondary Focus (1-2 days/week)

IPC (5 min on/5 off for 2-3 rounds)
Compex Muscle Recovery Setting

*COLD TUB PROTOCOL

  1. Metabolic: 

    1. Frequency: 1-6 min/session, 11-15 min total/per week

    2. Reheat: Allow the body to reheat naturally (no sauna/hot shower)

  2. Resiliency/Antifragile:

    1. Frequency: 1-6 min/session, 11-15 min total/week

    2. Mindset: Embrace the stress and resist the urge to get out of the tub. Set a time/temp target and get after it (Ex. I want 3 wins today: Win 1 get in the tub, wins 2-3 resist the urge to get out of the cold 2x today)

    3. Reheat: Active reheat (sauna/hot shower)

  3. Athletic Recovery:

    1. Frequency: 6-20 min/session

    2. Reheat: Active reheat (sauna/hot shower)
